    Takes over responsibility from Frank Petznick, starting October 1, 2023, while continuing to head Smart Mobility business area

    August 30, 2023 -  Dr. Ismail Dagli (48) will take over as the Head of the Autonomous Mobility (AM) business area, effective October 1, 2023, succeeding Frank Petznick. Dagli has headed our Smart Mobility business area since the beginning of 2022 and will continue to do so.

    Dagli is a computer scientist that earned his doctorate in the research of artificial intelligence in autonomous driving. He joined Continental is 2020 as head of research and development within the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems business unit. Following the realignment of the Automotive group sector at the beginning of 2022, this business unit was transferred to the Autonomous Mobility business area, which Dagli will now head.
