April 23, 2024 - Continental is supplying important components and products for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. For the very first time, the Continental smart device-based access solution (CoSmA) access system that turns mobile devices such as smartphones or smartwatches into car keys is being supplied as a complete system in volume production. CoSmA technology enables a convenient user experience in keeping with the digital age. We are providing a complete system that ensures comprehensive interaction between the digital ecosystems of the vehicle, smart devices, and the cloud.

Other automotive solutions supplied by Continental for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class include:
- Long-range radar: used to reliably provide advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control and emergency brake assist with data on vehicles and obstacles ahead.
- Telematics Control Unit: safety component that ensures smooth data exchange with mobile phone networks and enables safety-relevant functions such as automatic emergency call (eCall)
- Continental Air Supply (CAirS) system: for intelligent control of the adaptive air suspension. It is a highly integrated control unit that combines a compressor, valve block and electronic control unit in a single module. Surround view cameras: for comfortable and safe maneuvering at all times, even in situations with poor visibility.

Furthermore, components like Continental EcoContact 6 Q tires and innovative surface materials for the interior are also supplied to the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The EcoContact 6 Q tires enable high mileage and low energy consumption due to a special rubber compound, while the surface materials make the interior particularly easy to clean and durable.
