Piezo Common Rail Injector

Latest generation of servo-driven Piezo Common Rail Injector. Continental’s new servo-driven Piezo Common Rail Injector addresses challenges like reduced fuel consumption, emissions and noise development. This new injector is operated via a closed loop needle control mode resulting in a high level of precision and accuracy over the total lifetime.

Technical Specifications

  • Pressure: up to 2,500 bar
  • Drive: piezo servo
  • Minimum quantity: ≤ 1.0 mm³/stroke for multiple injection patterns
  • Multiple injection: up to 7
  • Mininimum hydraulic dwell 150 μs
  • Total leakage: < 30 ml/min at 2,000 bar (no permanent)
  • Nozzle hole diameter: ≥ 90 μm
  • Lifetime precise servo valve and needle control by adaptive / self-adjusting control functions
