Continental Acquires Automotive Division from Kathrein

Continental is strategically strengthening its vehicle connectivity business by acquiring Kathrein's automotive division.

Continental acquires Kathrein Automotive GmbH, one of the leading specialists and manufacturers of antennas in vehicles. This strategic acquisition enables us to further strengthen our vehicle connectivity business, in which antenna technology plays a key role. In the first quarter of 2019 it is expected that the entire workforce, currently over 1,000 employees at eight locations in Brazil, China, Germany, Mexico, Portugal and the USA, will become part of Continental.
