Powerhop detects oscillation of the driven wheel velocities in a certain frequency range (e.g. 8-13Hz) and calculates their oscillation amplitude. After evaluating the detected oscillation, Powerhop requests an engine torque reduction via the engine, in order to dampen the oscillation and reduce the resulted load on the powertrain.

Features & Benefits

  • Reduces the load on the powertrain
  • Better comfort during drive off situation with wheel oscillation
