About us – Singapore
Continental Automotive Singapore Pte Ltd was established in 1997. Since then Singapore has been a hub of Research & Development (R&D) activity for Continental, developing and testing important technologies for Radio and Navigation, User Interfaces, Displays, Entertainment and Controls.
In December 2007, Siemens VDO Singapore Pte. Ltd was acquired by Hanover-based international automotive supplier Continental. Since then it has been named Continental Automotive Singapore Pte Ltd. Continental in Singapore has four business units from the Interior Division: Instrumentation & Driver HMI, Infotainment & Connectivity, Body & Security, and Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket.
In July 2012, Continental Automotive Singapore unveiled its new R&D center in Singapore. The facility is one of Continental’s largest R&D centers in Asia dedicated to the design and development of in-car information management systems.
In November 2014, Continental Automotive Singapore invested in a new R&D extension building and now boasts a total floor space of 16,250 square meters currently occupied by more than 900 employees from all four Interior Division business units, as well as employees from the Tire and ContiTech Divisions
